Departing from Lyon, head for the land of golden stones in the southern part of the Beaujolais. Also called the little Tuscany, this region is very photogenic with villages built with the famous golden stone, nestled on hills and surrounded by vineyards. We will visit one of its villages, Oingt, which has the label of the most beautiful villages of France. After a short walk around the church and the ancient ramparts, we will join a local winemaker for a presentation of his vineyards and a tasting. Then a typical lunch with local specialties (not included). We then head to Pérouges, by crossing the Dombes, a beautiful region of ponds, fields and forests. Once in Pérouges, we will be able to stroll through the medieval streets, admire the old ramparts, the fortress church, the market place, the 13th century hostelry and contemplate the door from below where the terrible siege of Pérouges ended in 1468.

What type of vehicle is used for excursions outside Lyon?
All excursions outside Lyon that involve transport by car are aboard a French-registered and insured car with 5 seats. It’s a Peugeot 308 Blue HDI 5CV. The three rear seats are all fitted with seat belts. If you book this tour for 4 people, this will mean that three of you will be seated in the rear seats.
